Do you shame yourself? Saying things like:
“I’m too fat.”
“I’m too old.”
“I’m too loud.”
Perhaps you are just exiting a toxic relationship where not only were you saying those nasty ass things to yourself, but you were also hearing them from your partner.
Now, you know, I will always give it to you straight with no chaser. Therefore, I am confident it was no hot fudge sundae to live through some of the massive b*llshit, but it was happening FOR you, not to you.
As soon as you realize that even the sh*tty bits can teach you amazing lessons, you can “Take Back Your Power.” Yep, the type of power where you truly put yourself first, design a life that aligns with your True Self, and loudly and proudly use your voice for the rest of your life!
I’m talking about finding your voice and saying, “Ain’t no f*cker, putting this baby in the corner, trying to stick a binky in my talking tool to shut me up. No more! I ain’t having it!” Some of you out there just jumped up and are pumping your hands in the air!
Woah, sounds excellent, right? But how you’re asking, how do I get started?
Awareness. It all starts with awareness. So congratulations, you have already started! Okay, yippy-skippy, you may be thinking, “I am aware I call myself fat. Now what?”
I am sure you have seen it on social media, listened to podcasts, or read books about how we are:
However, in the Shh Society, we go deeper than cue little AI-written memes or blog posts. We practice Wisdom Wands, aka tools, to help you process and learn from anything life throws your way.
Let’s explore a powerful Wisdom Wand called “Magic Mantras” that might help you process some of the negative stuff you have heard or are continuing to tell yourself. Now if you just saw the word mantra and thought, “B*tch, I am not interested in selling all of my worldly goods, gettin’ naked on a mountain top and chanting in Sanskrit,” (BTW, nothing wrong with that). Do not worry. I’m going to share with you how you can craft your own impactful mantras. But before we go there, let me share a personal story of how I most recently used my “Magic Mantras” Wisdom Wand.
I was running and exploring a hilly area and heard my human Laura say, “OMG, you are so fat. No wonder you are having trouble getting up this hill..”
Now, there is a lot more to this story. I use my Holistic Scaffolding™ to unpack and process this self-limiting belief. (I can’t wait to share this method more in the coming weeks). But for now, let me share how I snapped myself out of this negative self-talk.
Again, everyone talks about “Self-Love,” but by utilizing this tool, you will love yourself and have a free, straightforward strategy for the rest of your life. You can literally transmute your self-critical thoughts into self-love statements.
